Couch Shopping
We are getting closer and closer to having a finished house. Since it is taking shape, the ideas have been flowing. I can see the rooms coming to life. So, naturally, I decided to go furniture (window) shopping.
There is a priority list of things we have to do the house, once we close. One of the first things is to install a water softener. Next, is to order shutters or blinds. After that, we will start to furnish the house. The couch that was in our basement at the townhouse, will go in the upstairs bonus room. That means we will need two couches for our living room. We also have a front room at the entry. I am not sure what I want to put in there. I know the piano will go in that front room but I am not sure what other furniture.
We stopped by the best furniture store in Utah, Best Deal Mattress and Furniture. I didn't even know where to start with furnishing our new house. I decided I would start with living room couches. From there, I will pick shelves, chairs, coffee table, and everything else. I found a few couches that I like.
I really like this Carnahan Traditional Sofa with Tufted Reverse Camel Back. I don’t know if the curved back is what I like or not. It only comes in this color as well. This can be good and bad. Dark is good because it hides the dirt and stains, especially with kids. It also darkens up the room. I feel like it may blend with my wood flooring too much. I love the round legs at the base.
I came across this Ellery Sofa with Traditional Industrial Style. It is very similar to the couch I posted here, on my Olio mood board. Again, it is really darker than what I want. I love the lines and shape. I just want to change the color. Even the cute round legs are the perfect color. the upholstery is just a little dark. I don't know if I can love everything else enough to except the color.
Finally, there is this little gem, Roy Traditional Button-Tufted Sofa with Rolled Back and Arms. Is this one too light? Obviously, I want a tufted couch. I prefer cute rounded legs. I like this fabric because it is lighter and more neutral. Definitely not as gray as the other couches. I was considering a white couch from IKEA. So, this one can not be any worse. There is a warranty and scotch guard that I can buy to go with this couch. It really covers everything. It makes the lightness not so scary with kids.
These are just a few that caught my eye today.
Hopefully, the right one will stick out to me at some point. We still have 7 weeks until we move. But who is counting anyway? ( MEEEE!) Here is a sneak peek of the floors and fireplace (before the fireplace tile and mantel).
